Editing Linked Camera


Purpose:

For the linked cameras of NVR/DVR, you can edit their names, as well as hide them so that they will not be displayed on the Hik-Connect page.

Before You Start:

Add NVR/DVR to the client. See Adding Device for details.

Editing Name of Linked Camera


Steps:

  1. Enter the Hik-Connect page, and then enter the Settings page in one of following ways.
    • Option 1

      • On the Hik-Connect page, if you are in the list mode, slide the device's name to left and tap 1.

    • Option 2

      • On the Hik-Connect page, if you are in the thumbnail mode, tap the device's name or tap .

    • Option 3

      • Enter the Live View page. Tap and tap Settings.

  2. On the settings page, tap Linked Camera to enter the Linked camera page.
  3. Tap .
  4. Select a linked camera, and then edit its name.

    5. Note: The name of the linked camera should contain 1 to 32 characters.

  5. Tap 1 to save the settings.

Hiding Linked Camera


Purpose:

If you hide a linked camera on the Linked Camera page, the camera will not be displayed on the Hik-Connect page.

Steps:

  1. Enter the Hik-Connect page, and then enter the Settings page in one of following ways.
    • Option 1

      • On the Hik-Connect page, if you are in the list mode, slide the device's name to left and tap 1.

    • Option 2

      • On the Hik-Connect page, if you are in the thumbnail mode, tap the device's name or tap .

    • Option 3

      • Enter the Live View page. Tap and tap Settings.

  2. On the settings page, tap Linked Camera to enter the Linked camera page.
  3. Tap 1 to hide the camera.

    4. Result:

    The icon turns to , and the camera will be hidden on the Hik-Connect page.
